About Abbie
I first discovered watercolour as a child, when my Nan showed me her watercolour set. I came back to it years later when I took an art class at college, where I realised that watercolour was a medium I naturally enjoyed working with.
I moved to the mountains eight years ago, and it was during lockdown that my passion for painting really took off. With more time to experiment, I started developing my own style and painting subjects inspired by the places and things around me.
I eventually began turning some of my paintings into hand-painted watercolour cards to sell locally. They were well received, and this encouraged me to keep creating and develop my artwork further.
Today, I continue to paint the things that inspire me most, particularly the mountains, nature and animals. When I’m not painting, I spend my free time exploring the mountains with my dog Alphie, and my partner Nick.
Thanks for taking a look at my work, and feel free to message me if you have any questions!
